Thanksgiving Visit

Today, we visited one senior woman, Ms. Jang, as the first time of our church's home visit outreach program. We ate together and fellowshipped... We had so much fun together. Look at Alan! (front center)

Ms. Jang had a stroke about 6 years ago and her half body has been paralyzed since then. Although we were worried if we, a group of 7, would be intimidating her living by herself, she welcomed us so much as soon as we stormed into her apartment. She shared with us all her thankfulness to God, referring to chapters in Bible. When I asked her if I could take pictures (through our translator friends), she said she loves it and she combed her hair and checked herself in the mirror. So cute!

The whole time of the visit was a truly blessing. As she kept saying she would not forget about tonight, I would not forget her fulfilled, peaceful smile and a pleasant painting hung above her soft, salmon-orange colored couch.

MIT

My mom and I really liked these beavers seemingly quite laidback..

but they could not torelate leaks in their $300m complex. Stata Center designed by Frank Gehry in Cambridge, MA.
I admire their challenge to work with one of most creative architects in the 20th & 21st centuries though.

3-Hour Chicago

I was in Chicago last week for business. Let me post some photos to show you how you get around in this city for 3 hours!
John Hancock Center on Michigan Avenue.

China Town in Chicago. OMG, do not expect the one we find in New York City or Flushing. Even no foot massage places.

I always keep my eye on Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago because they do good stuff. I was so grateful to come back here again after my first visit about 6 years ago. I just could check out their collection highlights on the top floor and noticed something going on the other side of the hallway.

It was Tino Sehgal's performance work called "Kiss" executed by two dancers moving slowly and intimately.
This city occurs to me something like bittersweet and heartaching feeling everytime I visit. Oops, I forgot to eat a famous hotdog upon my friend's request. Sorry, three hours weren't enough after all!
