Love Stories
Happy Valentine's Day!
Romance films are not my cup of tea however these movies have stuck in my heart.

Gosh, I forgot when I watched 37°2 Le Matin: Betty Blue (1986) ...I was pretty young and I remember that I was dreaming of this kind of love life I could experience some day.. It's actually very bizarre, unpredictable, out of control. Betty's too-straightforward love really struck me and its ending is unbearably painful, sad, yet beautiful. I have to watch it again.

Brokeback Mountatin (2005) tells us the poignance of love. If you don't feel anything after watching this movie, especially at the ending, you better hurry to start dating with someone. You need to have your heart broken... Love is tough and patient therefore it's very special and precious, isn't it?

I was totally blown away by Lee Chang Dong's Oasis (2002) as I didn't have any information beforehand. It is challenging but so cute and we can't stop loving this couple marginalized by the society. Sound and light play very significant roles in this film as if we are also with her confined to her room.
Actually, two out of these three movies end very very sadly. I wonder if endings of love stories tend to be tearful in helplessness, despair, disppointment,,, you name it. Remember, this is about movies, our real love stories should be happy and hopeful!
