The Knockout Paintings (Imaginative)

Have you ever been blown away by a painting when you stand right in front of it? To me it's happened almost countlessly
but only a few events can be recalled thereafter so I consider only these paintings in my memory as master pieces.
A funny thing of this summer is that I'm more easily captivated by paintings than any other arts (visual 2D + 3D, films, architecture, performance, music, etc..) and these two paintings really caught my eyes.

Cy Twombly (American, b. 1928), Untitled VII from Bacchus Series (Actually I saw Untitled V), 2005, Oil or aclyric on canvas, 128" x 195"
His 80th anniversary retrospective is now going on at the Tate Modern, UK till September 14.

Jean-Frederic Schnyder (Swiss, b. 1945), Dritschi und Tinley schauen den Niesen, 1988, Oil on canvas, 12" x 8.5"
!! Thanks millions to my friend..!!, who brought my attention to this almost self-taught artist.. I immediately ordered a catalog of his past exhibit. Interesting artist..

Honestly speaking, I have encountered with the paintings above through their reproduction postcards so I haven't seen the original works yet.. Ha ha. I will look forward to seeing them someday in person!
